The Matrix gives you a grid view of who is assigned to what, so you can see and manage requirement assignments at a glance without opening each one individually.
Reading the matrix
Rows show job roles, user groups, subcontractors, and directly-assigned people. Only entities with at least one assignment appear — this isn't a full roster.
Columns show requirements, grouped visually under their reporting category.
Each cell shows the assignment status using one of the following:
Solid circle with an exclamation mark — Required & Critical
Solid circle — Required
Hollow diamond — Optional
Blank — Not required
A small dot next to a role or requirement means it was set at group level
Dashed circle next to the requirement name (along the top) — Draft requirement
Setting or changing an assignment
Click any cell — populated or empty — to open the assignment modal.
Set the assignment to Required, Optional, or Not required, and toggle Critical requirement if needed.
Assign your change to save it.
Hovering over any cell shows a quick summary (for example, "Required for 1 person with job role Carpenter") without needing to open it.
Note: if a person is targeted by more than one assignment path with different settings — for example, their job role marks a requirement Optional but their supplier marks it Critical — the platform automatically applies the higher-priority setting. You don't need to manually reconcile overlapping assignments; the order is Critical, then Required, then Optional.
Viewing requirement details from the matrix
Click a requirement column header to open the same detail panel available from the Requirements and Register tabs, including the work-ready score, assignee breakdown, activities, and a three-dot menu for Edit, Duplicate, and Assign more people.
Filtering and searching the matrix
Use the search bar to search by columns and rows together, by requirements only, or by assignees only.
Filter by Assigned to (Job roles, User groups, Subcontractors, Direct assignments) or by Reporting category.
Use More filters for Assignment type or Requirement status (Draft, Active, On hold).
Click Clear all to reset every filter.
The Work-Ready score widget
The widget in the top left shows two scores: your Filtered score (purple) and your overall company score (orange), each shown as a percentage. Optional assignments don't count towards either score.
Note: reporting works at the requirement level, not by individual activity type. If a requirement combines several different kinds of activity — say, a quiz and an in-person session — everything still rolls up cleanly to that one requirement, so mixing activity types within a requirement won't skew your reporting.
